STRANGE BLOG CONTINUATION PART III
A STRANGE SUBJECT IS THERE TO WRITE ABOUT
We continue today with more strange subjects.
There is a place in Burgundy we love to go to. Ever since passing this place in nowhere land in the nineties, we feel drawn back there.
Above all, Burgundy has so much to see.
READ HERE FROM OUR FIRST VISIT
The last time however there was something different about the otherwise peaceful pastures and villages along the remote countryroads.
Most noteworthy because the Burgundy is also known for it’s delicacies. Upon looking at the sheer huge herds of cows, I understood immediately.
This beautiful young cattle is bred for one thing only: meat.
Though we were staying in a place with a Chef who went to the prestigious Paul Bocuse school of cooking in Paris, I refused to touch the fantastic looking steaks the chef offered us during our stay.

Because I grew up with a friend who was a farmer ; for that reason that I was apprehensive and did not want to touch beef meat.
Therefore I am against the slaughter of such beautiful animals

The place is called Arnay le Duc.
Since then our French chef has given up her Restaurant. She now works in Paris. She is a probably the most fantastic chef I met .. Her name is Astrid. Her food: Almost certainly better than
Italy – to me.
TOP CHEF IN PARIS
Here you can see what she is up to now. I have never met a better chef in my life. She is a top chef in France. Most noteworthy I remember her mousse au chocolat croustillante … It seems like heaven … Mama mia. !

Astonishing achievement isn’t it.

What made us return after twenty years ?
I remember now – we stayed in the chateau !

Astrid prepared fof us a nice bowl of fresh salad … but she wanted us to try the boeuf bourguignon … Due to the fact we don’t eat the best of beef we were looked upon by other guests.
( In contrast to the typical French, who can not go without beef, or a glass of wine ).
First of all she was not too happy I could tell. While we did not touch her meat, hence her spoiled mood that day we enjoyed her dessert even more.
We left this little fellow on his pasture. I know ..
Finally we went back again ! Another time in the future Astrid will see us in Paris.
